Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church is a Catholic Church located in Ipoh, Perak. It is one of the oldest churches which provides the platform for believers to come together each week for worship and fellowship while spreading the Good News to the people in the community.
Sunday masses are carried out at 8.00am in English Language while there are the Tamil and Chinese sessions available at 10.00am and 11.30am respectively. On Saturdays meanwhile, members can join the Sunset Mass at 7.00pm.
The church started out on April 1972 when the church was opened and blessed by the Archbishop of Singapore, Rt Rev Gregory Yong. He was also the Bishop of Penang then who then open the new building in Opoh Garden which saw the appointment of the first Parish priset, Rev Fr James Wallace CSsR.
Through various initiatives and programmes, the church would grow and play an important role for the community here including the running of Wallace House a place to serve the poor, needy or underprivileged regardless of religion or background. Besides that, the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church continues to help in every aspect possible including education and support services. This includes holding activities like the Sunday Catechism classes for those in pre, primary and secondary schools.
Corporate social responsibility programmes and other are being organized and carried out, all of which to spread the goodness of the Word of God and to provide the platform for believers to fellowship with one another and to walk together in the Light.
