KL Christlife Church
Located in the heart of Cheras, CCC or Charis Christian Centre is one of the prominent churches in the country. CCC has a long history which dates back to more than 40 years now. It was established by Pastor Dorcas Wong Lai Meng at the then Kampung Cochrane which has since developed into a thriving township today with a modern and mixed commercial properties.
CCC is very community-oriented where it is attended by thousands of Christians each week while providing some very remarkable services for the betterment of the community and its people. At CCC, the church plays an important role in offering advice and help through its counselling centre for people with all types of problems. The counselling centre functions as a home for children who are underprivileged and needy as well with some of the best facilities and services.
Besides that, CCC operates the Charis-NKF dialysis centre which is involved in offering kidney-treatment services for people from all walks of life with these health conditions. This centre was specially built and set up with the best equipment catered for patients with kidney problems as well as the facilities for rehabilitation and recovery where necessary.
When the CCC was first set up, it was meant to convert and bring the gospel to the large Chinese villagers there in Kampung Cochrane who were illiterate before it was changed into a bilingual church a few years after that. It was then called Kampung Cochrane Chapel before changing its name to Grace Assembly in 1973. 3 years after that, it moved to the current Taman Midah which was then known as Bolton Gardens.
The church then grew in size and reach with the setting up of the Alleluia Assembly in the town of Salak South with more branches being built like the Shekinah Assembly, the Saving Grace Assembly and the Agape Assembly located around the Klang Valley. In 1983, it became Gereja Grace with the addition of Tamil services which would then be changed to Charis Church in 1985 which was then moved to Taman Billion where it is located until today.
